The ElfQuest comic series has hit a series of rough patches in its journey to the big screen, but it seems that this time it might be getting there. Variety is reporting that producers Stephanie Thorpe and Paula Rhodes have acquired the film rights to the Wendy and Richard Pini comic series. Just a few years ago the film was in development at Warner Bros. Co-creator Wendy Pini said, "With their deep love and understanding of the property, they represent a new direction for ElfQuest...new creative energy and new connections in the larger media."
