Shawn Levy to Produce Sci-Fi Tale Story of Your Life Nov 27th 2012, 00:00 FilmNation Entertainment, in partnership with Lava Bear Films, has announced plans to finance, produce and handle worldwide sales for the sci-fi thriller Story of Your Life , written by Eric Heisserer ( The Thing , A Nightmare on Elm Street ) and to be directed by prolific commercials director, Nic Mathieu. Based on an award-winning short story by Ted Chiang, Story of Your Life is said to be a mind-bending science fiction thriller with a powerful, emotional twist. After aliens land around the globe, a linguist is recruited by the US government in a race to decipher their intentions on Earth.
