Galactic Empire Responds to White House Denial for Death Star Construction Jan 15th 2013, 00:00 Whenever a petition that is filed on WhiteHouse.gov reaches 25,000 signatures or more, a response is required from the White House. Recently, a petition for the construction of Earth's very own Death Star from the Star Wars films reached 30,000 signatures and a response was written denying the request . The reasons behind the denial included the cost (estimated at $850,000,000,000,000,000), that the current Administration doesn't support blowing up planets, and "Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?".
